I appreciate bargains. Although the cost was expensive it was the least expensive in the area due to the location. We were a bit nervous after reading the reviews but were pleasantly surprised. We have stayed in far worse. Although it wasn't glamorous it was clean, the beds were comfortable and it had a microwave and fridge. We even had a nice view of the river. It was about a mile walk to the subway and a short cab drive to the Paradise Rock Club. The area has nice restaurants.

Liked: Price lower than competition; great location.

Was ok-ish.

Liked: First room was near the lift which you could clearly hear going up and down. I was moved to another room. Hallway is noisy. Breakfast was not what I expected, no boiled eggs, very limited, high in sugar, high in fat, high in carbs.

Great place to stay, easy...

Liked: Everything was amazing except the bathroom - it was clean and well organized, but the water pressure on the shower head was not great (maybe due to its age? It definitely looked like it was from the 80s or 90s) and the shower pipe was not bolted to the wall properly, and we found 1 ant alive in the sink, though it could have come from anywhere. Otherwise our stay was great, the beds were comfortable, the staff was friendly and our room was well soundproofed. The lobby was also well maintained. We liked the convenience of the small distance of the hotel to the venue we were attending and how easy it was to get to and from there.

Bold, bright, and clean!!! NO...

Liked: My room was clean and ready when I arrived. The check-in staff was very friendly. I had reserved a King Studio and was upgraded to a "Suite".
Disliked: The area is not the best. The hotel had a security guard at night, so that tells you something.... The first evening was very busy in the lobby/recreation area, it was a Saturday night. Unfortunately, Saturday when I returned to the hotel, there were no parking spots left in the covered garage. The night guard came out and help me find a spot outside. Parking is an extra charge of $10 a night. The decorations are a little too much for my personal taste, but I can see it being pleasant for some. The property keeps the AC/HVAC turned off in the guest's rooms during this time of the year. I slept with the windows open, but it was still too warm for me (room temp was 70!). They advertised that they would supply a fan or space heater, if needed. I didn't ask for a fan, mainly because I find small fans are noisy.
