It is within walking distance from where we wanted to go. So we had parking and a room. It was clean and safe.

Liked: Good customer service.
Disliked: The room needs an update - vent in the bathroom and the mattress was hard.

I will never again stay at the Marriot just due to the fact valet parking is a forced $40.00 per day charge. We could have stayed on Bourbon Street for the amount of money we paid to stay at the Marriott on Canal Street. A two night stay was $800, we could have paid a bit more and stayed at an exclusive balcony condo on Bourbon Street.

Liked: The location was right around the corner to the House of Blues. The rooms were very small but clean.
Disliked: Valet parking was a hidden $40.00 per day cost.

Liked: From the time we checked in to leaving, we had a great time. The room was expectedly nice, clean, and comfortable. Checking in, Cari, her trainess, and her boss were so sweet and friendly! This was our first trip to NOLA so they offered us a room with a good view of the French Quarter.
Disliked: The shower, at times, had low water pressure. I wasn't a fan of the extras that were built-in to the price of my stay ($25/day for meals, joieful experiences, etc.) - I would have rather paid less and decided if I wanted the other options.

Disliked: Took an hour to check in, room wasn’t ready (it was 2.5 hours after check in started), got a different room that wasn’t what we reserved. The shower had large hair clumps on walls. Gross! At check out we did get a credit on our bill.
