We stayed on 10/26/12 for a concert at the Wilbur. I was quite concerned after reading reviews that were either 1 star or 5 stars. I gave it 5 stars and wonder what the 1 star reviewers experienced. We had a deluxe room which, for the $20 more per night, was absolutely worth it. The lobby is beautiful, the staff was friendly and efficient, the elevators ran perfectly, and the experience was excellent. If one is trying to skimp on everything, one should not be surprised if things aren't perfect. Spend the extra money. We'll stay there again.

Liked: Decor, staff, service.
Disliked: Nothing.

Very poor

Liked: Location was great.
Disliked: Once you make it past the reception, the hotel is dated.Rooms are tiny and have ZERO sound proofing you can hear everything. Very noisey!! And they have a quiet time between 10pm to 7am, which is impossible given the noise level and lack of sound proofing.

The room was overpriced and...

Liked: Location was ideal for plans in the theater district.
Disliked: Paid for a king bed suite with pull out couch suitable for 3 people. The suite itself was much smaller than it looked in the photos and not as nice. The king bed was NOT a king bed, it was maybe a queen at most. When I mentioned to the staff that there may have been a mistake they assured me it was in fact a king bed and that I was wrong (I have a king bed at home so I am very familiar. My partner and I couldn’t roll over without being in each others space. The bed was also so hard and uncomfortable that I was awake all night and was in horrible muscle pain in the morning. The pull out bed was also uncomfortable and you could feel the bars through the mattress. Overall I feel that I paid way too much for what I got and I did not sleep a wink. Of note, the TVs are old so if you are looking to do anything more than watch basic cable, you’ll have to bring your own electronics. No smart TVs.

Liked: I like location and the cleanliness of the room
Disliked: The hotel bar was blah. The bartenders were not friendly, and it was not easy to get drinks or food. This definitely dulled the experience. Also, the "resort" fee was double what I was told.
