We got back to hotel about midnight and our keys wouldn't work. We went to desk and the employee said we aren’t even checked in and how did we get in room. We had two rooms and were given keys for desk clerk at 4 pm. She finally said she would have go check our rooms to see if that was even our personal items in room. Rolled her eyes and talked under her breath the entire way there and when she left.

Disliked: The employees was rude.

I would definitely use the DoubleTree in Birmingham if I was in the area again.

Liked: Easy to check in online. The room was as presented. Very clean and comfortable! The front desk even worked to check in another party in my group before I arrived....a nice touch to accommodate our needs.
Disliked: No restaurant on site. We didn't ask, either. They did have a full room service menu.

Excellent staff; clean, nice room; secured parking; walking distance to Iron City but hotel had a shuttle for us to ride in comfort. Very pleased with our stay.
