Liked: The feature group was very energetic! Their craft was performed very laid back but professional for their patrons! They were not hurried and it appeared to be fun for all! First Wood Brothers concert but it won't be my last!
Disliked: Sound system was good for the musical instruments and the crowd was small so the singing was amazing, but the words could have been a little clearer. The bar was very good to get refreshments out and it was good as well - timely service.

We returned again this year for the Grace Potter concert. Last year there was a good amount of general admission seating but not this year. When Iron City posted the concert it didn't mention how to purchase the reserved seating.

Liked: Great concert.
Disliked: Not enough general admission seating.

Liked: We stayed at the Holiday Inn Birmingham Airport and was able to get to this place with a 13 dollar taxi ride which we gladly pay! As far as the venue - great atmosphere! Cold Beer! And one amazing show from the legendary Robert Earl Keen! Would recommend this venue to anyone looking for an enjoyable night out!

This was our first time attending the Iron city in Birmingham, and we were happily astounded at several factors. First, the venue is beautiful and the staff seems very well organized. We went to the restaurant prior to the concert and were very pleased with the staff, especially the hostesses, and the quality of food and service. Afterwards, we attended the Shovels and Rope concert, which was amazing with superb sound and views. I also want to point out the last minute accommodations the staff provided me because I am pregnant. Since the venue has standing room and minimal seating, the staff provided me with an opportunity to get a table on the balcony. Even though it costs money, it was well worth the view and comfort; however, several people would come to the balcony and crowd these paid seating areas, which was distracting and annoying. Overall, we loved the experience and would love to return for future concerts.

Liked: Customer service; beautiful venue; sound quality during concert.
Disliked: Crowding on balcony where reserved seating was paid for.
