Since hearing Seckou Keito play his Kora in England a couple of years ago, I couldn't miss inviting my sister to come and hear him in his first collaboration with classical music. So glad that the premiere concert with the Ulster Orchestra was in Belfast. Boundary Breaking Fireworks describes exactly how Seckou from Senegal and Abel Selaocoe from South Africa combined their music and songs with classical music. All performers were enjoying themselves and standing ovations said it all. Hope to see them return.
Liked: It was an amazing mixture of classical and African music.
Disliked: None.

Des Bishop's brother opened the show, then a break. Would have stayed at the restaurant for an extra hour rather than this time wasting. Also, having been so impressed with Des Bishop in China TV series was disgusted by his jingoistic attitude and half baked semi republican claptrap. Slagging the south off because he was in the north - yawn, passe and out of touch with the audience. Presented as racist, sexist, not the cool, interesting comic he presents on TV.
Liked: Ulster Hall.
Disliked: Des Bishop.
