Heidi, Montrose

The only thing missing was the smoky atmosphere. I loved the jazz bar, the intimacy and the ambience. We were transported back to the 40s with the sounds of Iain Ewing, Colin Steele and Euan Stephenson and their Remembering Chet show. Fantastic music and fantastic venue.

Liked: Everything
Disliked: No smoke.

l I paid 10 pounds to get in for a late night Jazz Jam session (10.30 pm). The cellar was packed. Half of the audience had a table and a seat. I did not. The other half were standing in the bar...

l Great little jazz bar in a basement. Not so great when overcrowded in our case, but very comfortable if not. Band on this visit, our only, was very good.
