After seeing all the signs around town we decided to go. Paid the extra $$ for Fast Pass, which turned out to be well worth the extra $8/ticket. Got us in the attractions immediately, no lines at all! Overall, the experience was OK. Most of the scare in all the attractions come from someone jumping out in front of you and yelling, or slapping a stick against a wall. Most of it's the "startle" factor, but beyond that, not too scary. No back stories or built up fear that comes with a guide. None of that. Rabid alley was the worst, as if it was just fumbling around a super dark (i.e. pitch black) with a bunch of scary dog barking sounds all around. Not very scary at all... Hillbilly Hotel was very good, but again relied on just people just jumping out every now and then and the slapping noise... Overall it was a good experience, but pricey in the value for the $$ category. It's hard not to compare it to Trail of Terror, since they are both in this neck of the woods. We went to Trail last year. I'd say that Trail was much better in the built up fear category. But good job Screamtown. I think you can be GREAT with a few tweaks...

After stumbling upon the website I had high hopes for screamtowns level of scary. Unfortunatley, I was a bit diasappointed. The corn maze was HORRIBLE; poor actors, poor costumes. For them to claim that as the best "haunted" corn maze in mn is a joke. &Rabid alley, the only reason that was the least bit scary is because it's pitch black and if you've never been in there before you don't know what to expect. After exiting that attraction I was completely let down. I have a natural fear of clowns (even the friendly ones) So yes, I was scared while walking through that maze but I felt they could have put a little more effort into it. The forest was descent, there were a few segments that were scary and the rest I and my group found ourselves laughing. The total SAVIOR of this place was the hillbilly hotel, the actors AMAZING!! I guess the actor over heard my name and kept screaming it and even after we exited the maze he chased us out .. that was truly the best part of scream town. Hillbilly hotel GOOD JOB :) Oh and I'd highly reccoment the fast pass tickets if your going. Saves you about five hours. So the ONLY reason they got even a 3 from me was the hillbilly hotel. ***The girl actors SUCKED.
