We were hoping to see Marty Stuart but he couldn't make it because of weather conditions. Vince Gill gave a poor performance. The best one there was John Conlee. We spent a lot for tickets and hotel - very disappointed.

I've been to the Ryman before and still love it. The seating is very comfortable and the acoustics were great.
Liked: Wonderful seating setup.

Exquisite acoustics. Fantastic history and felt humbled being there. Top marks all round. Worth the trip from Toronto. Absolutely loved every minute, well done!

Acoustics good; lighting behind singers was poor. Wouldn't go there again.
Liked: Beautiful decor and stairways. Employees very efficient and helpful.
Disliked: Stage lighting was not good for the audience. Got blasted once with the lights - all the folks in the front put up their arms to block the light. Really poor for taking pictures.

The Ryman has fantastic acoustics and is worth the trip for the sound quality alone. The stained glass windows and old church pews add some artistic interest as well--though the pews get a bit uncomfortable if you sit the whole time. The large balcony offers a fantastic view, as do most seats in the venue (just don't get stuck behind a pole on the floor level). Everyone should experience a show at the Ryman at least once!
