Liked: Seeing some great artists perform.
Disliked: I’m disabled and I’m disappointed there was no easy way out apart from using the only exit with everyone else so I had to walk more than I could.

We were at Richfield Avenue for the Reading Festival. My boyfriend is a huge Guns n Roses fan so we got Friday day tickets. The walk from the entrance to the main festival area is long and very very muddy, wellie boots were essential!! Once in the main area everyting was very compact and easy to get to. Drinks and food were expensive but queues were pretty okay! Over at the main stage the mud situation had been controlled with wood chippings which was a great idea, as thick mud and dancing would not have worked. We saw some great bands including Lost Prophets, Biffy Clyro and Queens of the Stone Age. The night finished with the act we were most excited about seeing GnR, they were about an hour late on stage but you kind of expect that with Axl. We thought GnR were great they played a lot of their classic tracks which we loved as well as material from their new album which we also enjoyed. However the downer was the atmosphere, the crowd were so hostile. I think the fact they were late on did not go down well, and it just seemed like the crowd did not want to give them a chance! Due to the late start the set was cut short. This was down to the festival organisers and not GnR, they were desperate to continue and participated in an onstage protest - which was quite entertaining! We had a great day but things went downhill very quickly when it was time to leave. There were no sign posts directing us to the correct exit. We ended up wandering around the campsites for two hours (we were not the only ones we came accross a lot of people trying to find their way out too). Even members of staff were sending us in the wrong direction - CRAZY!!
Liked: Compact festival site
Disliked: Lack of direction
