Liked: Enjoyable gig.
Disliked: Drinks too expensive; waited an hour for Gavin DeGraw with no support slot.

To sum it up the venue is practically beautiful! On the inside it has a Victorian elegance and charm in it's character. It's a little smaller than the HMV Hammersmith, but this gives the HMV Forum an air of personality along with promoting a more personal experience between the audience and the band. Some of the floor area was nicely carpeted and the lighting was colorful, warm and atmospheric. I have no complaints - even the security were friendly, they were not rough or heavy handed with the crowd (considering at the time it was a heavy rock concert). The drinks, as usual, with any venue these days were extortionate, but you don't go and see a show to get wasted anyway. The sound and acoustics of the building architecture were perfect, the roof of the venue was low enough to allow just the right amount of reverb and acoustics while preventing unwanted re-verb and echo from drowning out the sound quality. As I said, the sound and acoustics were perfect. All round I'll give it 5 stars, one of the best venues for a more personal and intimate experience with a band.
Liked: Beautiful venue.
Disliked: None but drinks are expensive.

Saw Clutch and did hear in the local pub that sound was an issue in the forum and it was terrible in fact. I was downstairs and the toilets on the men's side of things got a bit manic, queueing and the like. Bar staff were on the button - no fuss or long waits, how they do it I don't know - good on 'em. Door staff were polite and very professional - made it all run like clockwork - good on 'em as well
Liked: Staff excellent, from the bar to the door.
Disliked: Sound was awful.

The forum was so cold - thankfully we had gone with coats, scarves and gloves, but we didn't think we would need them inside! Put us off going there again.
Liked: Close to tube station.
Disliked: Very cold.
