Liked: It was a great concert; seating was good; staff were helpful to locate our seats.
Disliked: Yes, the speakers blocked the two big screens, so you could barely see them - which was super disappointing, as we were sitting far away, and then couldn’t really see the screens either- they should move them. Also the staff serving food and alcohol didn’t know about the cash to Visa card machines - we had read that there were some but then when we asked a staff member - they said no idea, only card accepted. I later found one, with no help but we had already charged our mc which gets expensive as we were out of town and brought mostly cash. The customer service man was super nice and helpful.

If you like basketball the Moda Center definitely accommodates all aspects of the game. The food and drink options were abundant, as was the entertainment between plays. The center is easily accessible by transit or in walking distance from most hotels downtown. I appreciated the security measures taken at the front as well.
Liked: The basketball game itself was exciting, as was all of the entertainment. The ushers were incredible; so helpful and accommodating. Very child friendly.

Disliked: Nothing.

We went to see Foo Fighters. We were in section 303 which should not have had people there. We could not see the video screens behind the band. The sound quality was so distorted we could not understand David Grohl speaking to us nor could we hear the music when they started so that we could tell which song was coming up. We left early. We will never go to MODA again to see a band.
Disliked: Poor sound quality.

Overall a very good venue.
Liked: Easy to navigate; concessions on every level; even nosebleed sections were good for a Blazer game.
Disliked: Concession prices.

I attended the Women of Faith conference October 5-6 2012. It was very close to our hotel (Crowne Plaza Portland Downtown-Convention Center).
Liked: Close to many hotels. Easy to get around inside.
Disliked: Food prices are very over-priced. Not enough leg room in rows of seats.

Got trapped in Widmer Tap room. Didn't realize entry in there meant entry to the arena. So, we got stuck drinking $9 beer and couldn't leave. Fantastic arena, and great show - "The Wall" performed by Roger Waters.
Liked: Great arena.
Disliked: Expensive beer.

This is a great arena for Professional Bull Riding (PBR). Perfect size, great seats, friendly staff. Just great. All seven in our party had an awesome time! We will definitely attend next year if PBR comes back here. Also, Portland is a wonderful city and easy to get to for everyone in the Pacific NW.
Liked: Everything else positive. A great arena!!
Disliked: Vendor food could have been better, faster
