Robert P, Ottawa
This venue is exquisite for baroque and chamber music. The church acoustics are excellent and the sightlines are generally all good. The Chamberfest hosts or greeters add a nice, welcoming touch as do the refreshment offerings. This is a nice change from the more formal surroundings of the NAC.
Liked: Intimate surroundings that are perfect for a baroque concert. Being a church, it was a great "period" setting allowing us to experience the music in the manner it was meant to be experienced at the time it was written.
Disliked: None.
Michele, Napanee
The seating was not the most comfortable to sit in for over 3 hours.
Liked: The building is beautiful!
Disliked: The sound was challenging - was very hard to hear the speaker for a good part of the evening.
Sheri and Barrie C, Guelph
We loved the setting of Dominion Chalmers for the performance of Giulio Cesare of Handel. It was a great concert and worth the drive from Guelph. We had great accommodation at the Holiday Inn and were able to walk to the concert - another plus.
Liked: Wonderful concert and stay.
