Maybe we're spoiled by coming from an area where venues happily provide guests with water and smoking is not permitted indoors, but really we weren't quite impressed by this smoke-filled nightclub. The women's restroom was out of toilet paper and paper towels before midnight, and there were people desperately filling plastic cups with water from the bathroom sink trying to stay hydrated. The club's website makes it seem high-end, and the people up in VIP seemed to be having a good time with the sparklers, but the 'dress code' on Friday night's is FAR more relaxed than the pictures on the website make it seem. The crowd seems to run a bit young, but overall the other patrons were a really good crowd. The atmosphere/decor has a sort of indulgent decadence in decline vibe. Staff was firm but polite/helpful. The sound system/music was excellent, so if that's your only concern looking for a place to go out, Opera Nightclub is definitely a contender. Just beware of people bringing their lit cigarettes on the dance floor.
Liked: The advertised sound system was *excellent*.
Disliked: The bartenders were literally not allowed to give anyone water other than small $5 bottles of Fiji water.

This was the worst organized show I've ever been to by far. I went to see Feed Me on February 1st, and he was scheduled to go on from midnight-3 am - he didn't get to start playing until after 1:30 because the opener kept playing. Not to mention the opener was a terrible performer playing the most generic dubstep ever to a crowd of nothing but belligerently drunk idiots. I was definitely not impressed by anything I encountered here, which is saying something considering Feed Me is my all-time favorite producer. Never attending this venue again.
Liked: Pretty venue.
Disliked: Rude crowd; wrong set times advertised; overpriced drinks; VIP admission definitely not worth it.

Doors were opened around 45 minutes late. Then when we were able to go through the door, we were directed to a tent back outside for another 45 minutes to an hour. And when we finally got inside the venue, we were directed to a standing only "VIP" for which I paid double for...the general admission tickets were just as good if not better. Then the headliner was at least an hour late. BUT, once Travis and Mixmaster Mike got there it was FIRE!! The hour that they played was the best hour of ANY concert/event I've EVER been to! And being an artist promoter myself, that's pretty strong!! Thanks to the Opera and W Hotel for help making mine and Abbey's five year anniversary so AMAZING!!
Liked: Amazing club, great staff, great drinks!!
Disliked: Tickets sold as "VIP" was NOT worth the extra $!!
