The event and weather was great from start to finish.

The Kid Rock Concert was very good that we attended on Aug13th. I don't have a problem with the show - what I have problem with is that there was a thunderstorm during the concert when Sammy Hagar was playing and we were asked to leave the ground level area. Now I understand it was for our safety but I paid over $200.00 for tickets and I feel that if I am willing to take the risk of being hit by lightning than that is my decision and i should not be asked to leave. The security guards were very rude and abrupt. It should be our choice to stay knowing that we are going to be taking our safety at our own risk and not be rudely asked to leave. I think a better way to handle the situation would be to say we ask that you leave due to safety risk but if you stay you stay at your own risk as it was more dangerous to have several hundreds of people running down from the stands to get to their front row place again on wet slippery ground. That to me was more dangerous than the lightning. Hasn't anyone ever heard that lightning strikes metal and high towering metal pieces like lights and electrical equipment before people!!! We had more risk of being knock down and trampled by people rushing back than being hit by lighting. Poor choice Comerica Park!!!!
