This is a must-see opera: The Listeners. The published theme - that of cults - has many subtexts making it possible to experience this from a feminist perspective - and a personal one. We all have something within us that no one understands, and may leave us very lonely and susceptible to poor coping skills. What does the Hum represent for you? A must see. Wish the opera had a longer run.
