Still a good place for...
Liked: Close to downtown.
Disliked: There was a critter moving between the walls and over the ceiling. Likely a Packrat, since it was active primarily at night.

It’s a clean basic motel...

Comfortable bed, good shower, and...
Liked: The best parts were the comfortable bed, hot shower w/good pressure, and the amazing breakfasts at the restaurant next door (breakfast voucher included with stay at motel).
Disliked: Room was very very dated. Lights were dim/yellow and with all the wood paneling it was dreary to be inside during the day. (I visited in winter, so early sunset made it hard to NOT be in the room during the day). Unfortunately the lights are impossible to offset with daylight unless you are comfortable having everyone look into your window because the windows face the parking lot. The owners should consider installing windows on the opposite wall from where they are currently at- at least in the northern building. This would provide privacy as well as a BEAUTIFUL view of the Watchman. Hard to believe when these were built that no one had the thought to put the windows on this side. The shower has a window that is nice to look out of at the Watchman, though. My biggest issue was the table/chair set in the room. I had hoped to be able to sit and do work for my job but I had to go elsewhere in town every day because the table was a wobbly mess and the chairs were too short to make sitting at a laptop at the table comfortable (I am not a short person, either, I am 5'7). I have visited Zion NP numerous times, and the only way I would stay here again is if I really needed to save money. I far enjoyed camping in Springdale in my tent next to the river at the commercial campground compared to staying at the motel. I have also had pleasant stays at roughly 4 other hotels in Springdale. I get the 'charm' and nostalgia of the original owners keeping it as it was in the past, but with new owners I am of the opinion that an update is in order. At least paint all the dark wood paneling to brighten the space.

Loved the stay overall, thank...
Liked: Clean, comfy room, comfy bed, great location!
Disliked: The CLOCK in the room had a loud tick, tick, tick..can easily hear it when trying to fall asleep.had to take out battery to sleep.Suggest upgrading to small, digital, silent alarm clocks if you can.Pillows a little too thick for my liking too, but overall a GREAT stay!

Fantastic bargain in the winter...
Liked: 1st is the location. Just outside Zion National Park, you could walk to the Visitors Center, or catch the shuttles when running. Most restaurants nearby were closed during our January stay, but Oscar’s and the Zion Park Brewery were open and very good. 2nd best part was the included breakfast at Porters next door. We ate there 5 mornings, and were never disappointed with the service, choices and quality. Motel room beds were comfortable, room was clean with full maid service, shower was large with very hot water.
