Liked: It’s very chic and quite eclectic. In a great spot close to restaurants and facilities. Great food at the restaurant and huge range of wines at Lord Lygon bar.

A pleasant, interesting, comfortable break...

Liked: The property had character and the staff were excellent, going above and beyond to ensure we were looked after. We felt we were really treated as individuals rather than just another pair of guests passing through.
Disliked: If I could find a fault, and it is hard to, it would be the bar/restaurant being closed on the Sunday and Monday we were there. But this is a small thing as Melbourne offers so many opportunities to enjoy food and drink and we took advantage of these to the full.

Superb

Liked: Staff are so helpful and friendly, and the hotel itself took us by surprise. Pretty ordinary on the outside but just lovely inside.
Disliked: Kettle doesn't fit under tap so very hard to fill
