An unexpectedly pleasant stay in...

Liked: Staff were very friendly, and there was daily housekeeping! The bathroom was small, but nice. Space was compact, but enough, and the room had a nice window. There was no breakfast, but free coffee in the mornings.
Disliked: There’s a small vibration that can be felt (assuming on the higher floors only) due to some industrial facility next door. I was able to tune it out after the first couple of hours, but if you’re very sensitive to low rumble type of sounds, then better avoid the top floors.

Liked: Very conveniently located close to train station and city, walking distance to Stanley Park, Canada Place.

Disliked: Didn’t love the shared bathroom. Room was very small! Floors were a bit dirty.

Great value

Liked: Great location -- Walkable to most of downtown and the convention center (15 mins), and very close to the Expo line stop. Great value -- hotel was significantly lower cost than others in the vicinity, which were charging an arm and a leg because of a big surge in demand during the days I was there. It was also wonderful that this was a non-profit and they use the revenue to support women in the community. The staff were courteous. The hotel was very eco-friendly... so many things in hotels are made of plastics, and this hotel had found a more sustainable substitute for most of them. Unlike other hotels they actually let my hanging towel be, and didn't just take it away to wash.
Disliked: One negative --- there is only complimentary coffee, and not a bite to eat at the hotel, although there are tons of options nearby including Frankie's right next door.One more eco-friendly thing they could have: Water bottle filling stations that are popping up everywhere these days.
