Warm, welcoming staff and excellent...

Liked: The rooms were very comfortable and clean. The hotel is centrally located to Porthmadog amenities. The staff were very warm and welcoming.
Disliked: Can’t think of a thing!

This is a great place...

Liked: An amazing little place to stay. The host couldn’t have been more helpful. The breakfasts were out of this world, try the smoked salmon and scrambled eggs…sublime and very generous portions.Dinner at the restaurant was exceptional, best we have had so far on this trip. The staff were attentive but not intrusive.Truly a delightful place stay.

First Time in Porthmadog

Liked: Lovely room, with comfy beds, nice bathroom, close to high street, with parking outside, restaurant attached, but sadly didn't get to sample the evening meals as they were fully booked.so we ate at a pub around the corner owned by the same person, Dion. (Tafarn Pencei) and it was very good. The breakfast we had at Yr Hen Fecs was excellent.
Disliked: Nothing

Liked: Lovely spot for the harbour and access to the coastal path. Breakfast was superb, and a lovely restaurant
Disliked: The room was a little small and we had difficulty regulating the shower temperature which meant I nearly scolded myself on a couple of occasions. The duvet was quite thick for the summer, and I would have preferred something of a lighter weight
