Overall a bit pricey at...

Liked: Great location, very close to train station and the free parking spot was a bonus as I’d travelled down by car. Receptionists were really friendly and helpful. Bed was clean and room was warm, and the bed was comfy. Iron, ironing board, towels, and tea/coffee provided.
Disliked: - Police in attendance at a room nextdoor from 8-11pm. No offer to move rooms from management.- Mismatched and dated furniture.- Moldy silicon in the bathroom.- Empty minibar.- Old Artex wallpaper, peeling in places.- Waterfall showerhead wasn’t connected up and several fixtures would fall off.- Cold bathroom (towel rail but no way to turn it on as thermostat was bent/inactive).Other misc things to note:- TVs are not smart TVs so no way to watch streaming services, live freeview only.- Phone number of hotel goes to a bar/restaurant that claim not to be affiliated with the hotel.

Lovely quaint room to rest...

Liked: I loved how quaint and slightly old fashioned the room was and yet how modern the en-suite is. No issues at all with the shower and toilet facilities. Bed is super comfortable and appreciate there is a fridge available to use, which I indeed did use.
Disliked: I'm probably being a cheapskate and comparing my stay to a cheaper hotel room from the night before, but I did pay more for a room last minute that I stayed less hours in. I am maybe suggesting something more than necessary, but it would be good if hotels could offer variable prices given how late someone books from the check in time available and especially if said customer is just looking for somewhere to shower and rest. Apart from that, nothing was an actual issue nor a negative impact on my stay.

Disappointing to begin with but...

Liked: When we were transferred into the correct room, it was nice and well decorated, the bathroom was spacious with a lovely shower with different settings. The one advertised definitely matches the price.
Disliked: We were originally put in a Deluxe King Room that didn’t match the photos on booking.com. There were burn marks on the carpet, the bedside table lamp shade was torn, there were cracks in the walls. The bathroom was very small, mould in the top corner of the shower, and the shower door didn’t close properly. Once transferred into the room which was advertised the heating wasn’t working correctly but they did provide a space heater for us. The original room definitely was not worth the money we paid.
