Set in a stunning location next to Whitby's famous Gothic Abbey this historic building offers beautiful views of the coast. YHA Whitby offers extensive gardens 24-hour access and a restaurant. YHA Whitby is located on Whitby's headland and the cobbled quayside can be reached at the bottom of the nearby steps. Whitby's center and rail station are 15 minutes' walk away. Whitby's sandy beaches can be reached in a short 5-minute walk. The majority of rooms at this YHA hostel contain bunk beds. Guests can relax in the TV lounge or the separate games room and there is a nearby tea room operated by YHA Whitby next to the abbey. There is also luggage storage for guests. Meals are served in the restaurant while guests can also enjoy the on-site cafe and dining room. There is a self-catering kitchen provided.

Great value and an amazing...

Liked: Value and location and great helpful staff I have booked againLovely for enjoying Whitby in the quieter winter months when it’s not fit to camp
Disliked: Stayed on mezzanine this time and had a lot of noise from footsteps and toilet flushing above me starting before 6.30am

Greta place, will be back....

Liked: Room very clean. Location perfect and spectacular. Great bonus to get free entry to Whitby abbey as a guest of the YHA. Breakfast good but a little expensive, cakes and cafe excellent. Very friendly and helpful staff.
