Disliked: twice whilst I was trying to sleep, just outside the building I heard a pack of males and 1 female smoking pot and laughing/ talking loud around 1am and then again around 4am in the morning. I was on the second floor and the window was open so the smell slightly came through the window from the bottom ground. I could see them outside from the window. I felt so annoyed and angry that I wanted to shout down to them to go and do their thing somewhere else. I decided not to shout and kept calm. the pack could have been from the hostel or outsider's drunk and smoked out. I reported the issue whilst I checked out in the morning. the staff said if the pack were outsider's they couldn't really do much about it as it was out of their control. I guess that's what to expect when staying at hostels.

Disliked: There was an agitated argument at 3 am between two girls. Both stayed in the hostal the next day. No proper situation management from administration, I wouldn’t recommend any families with minors going there.

Liked: Location in historic area of castlefield. Right by canal. Perfect for exploring manchester 's industrial heritage and for relaxing over a drink in a great location.

A very pleasant surprise; would...

Liked: A private room for 5 people was perfect. Very clean, very comfortable. The Hostel was modern and had many more facilities than normally associated with a hostel and was more in line with a middle tier hotel. Staff were excellent and the price was very reasonable, especially given the excellent location.
Disliked: No complaints at all
