Liked: Amazing location in the middle of Dartmoor. The staff were very friendly, and really went out of their way to help us get settled in. Good sized lounge and kitchen. Rooms have very comfortable beds, with clean sheets on every bed.
Disliked: It is a very small YHA, so that can make it harder to find enough space. But the rooms do have very comfortable bunks and beds.

Great Hostel

Liked: Great location and great hostel. Really good kitchen facilities and a nice lounge with a wildlife viewing area.
Disliked: Bunk beds were a bit short and the mattresses a bit thin but still got a good night's sleep.

Beautiful and welcoming stay

Liked: We stayed at the YHA Dartmoor for one night, even though we only live an hour away, because our 10-year-old son had such a fantastic time there during his school residential. We thought it would be a perfect way to wrap up the summer holidays with a day exploring Dartmoor, followed by an overnight stay.The hostel was spotless, and the staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful. We highly recommend opting for the cooked breakfast – the quality of the food was excellent. The rooms were clean, and it was a real treat to wake up to such a beautiful view. There were plenty of toilets and showers available, and the shower itself was wonderfully hot. We’ll certainly be returning.

Liked: The warden Jane, was very welcoming and exceptionally helpful. The food was far better than we all expected , having stayed at other hostels before. Goo luck Jane, at your new hostel in Pembrokeshire!
Disliked: There seemed to be only one upstairs loo, although this wasn't a problem.
