Liked: As always, friendly staff and location. I have been there few times already and never dissapointed

Disliked: Had my booking cancelled by YHA due to technical issues at the hostel.Was not offered any alternative hostel and it took a ages to get my booking money backPoor service .

Liked: Location is great for those wanting to explore the area and have quiet evenings in the hostel. Nice lounge, felt very homey.
Disliked: Only 2 power sockets in the room for 6! Luckily the room wasn't full at the time of my stay, it wouldn't been a real struggle with more than 2 of us in the room.

Disliked: We were going to be about 20 to 30 minutes late for checkin one evening as we’d gotten lost on a hike. I called the property to let them know and ask if they could help us as we still needed a place to stay that night. They said no and told us to take a full refund or nothing! So we had to find a last minute place to stay in the middle of nowhere with barely any signal. It turned out to be one of the most stressful nights of our lives as the alternative accommodation was terrifying (owners were on coke and very aggressive shouting at each other)- we had to leave and drive all the way to Swansea to find somewhere safe that was available. It cost hundreds of pounds and we were completely exhausted, stressed and scared.This could all have been avoided if we’d been able to arrive with a little leeway that night. I found the staff rude and uncaring. If I had worked there I would have said of course, come as soon as you can I’ll wait for you and make sure you get in safely.If it wasn’t for them happily giving us a full refund I would think twice about booking there again.
