Overall, it was okay, but...

Liked: Excellent breakfast and overall decent walking distance to visit all of the main and central attractions in Dublin. It was easy to catch the local transit buses and airport transfers nearby the hotel.
Disliked: It is a dated hotel, however my room faced the main street and you could hear the buses/tram line and people shouting in the late evening making it difficult trying to sleep. I also booked a single room and was given a room with two twin beds. It would have been nice to maybe have a double/ queen/king bed instead. If twin beds is the only option, then a reduced room fee would be better. Also, when checking-in and speaking to the front desk staff about travelling as a solo female in the area, she said the area where the hotel is located is not the safe part of town, but across the river was safer. It was unsettling to hear this considering I booked a non- refundable room at this hotel for 4 days. Safety is also a concern when I'm travelling and although I do appreciate the honesty, this is certainly not something you want to hear when checking in. Also, when I asked about simple information at the front desk, such as how much the public buses were, the front desk staff wasn't sure nor provided assistance with getting the correct information for me. I also found it was interesting that when I left the hotel on the early mornings to go on day tours, one day I was told by security to leave my room key at the front desk and the other day, I was able to have it with me. These were some inconsistencies with how things are managed within the hotel that I noticed during my stay.

Exceptional

Liked: Upon arrival from an early morning flight from Chicago, USA, we were able to check in early. How wonderful to have a place to rest our heads after a long flight. We were then upgraded to a bigger room….Wow…totally unexpected, but lovely. The location of the hotel was great(very close to lots of restaurants/shops, etc…). The breakfast before we departed was amazing. Our overall experience with Wynns was first class. We will definitely stay here again next time we are in Dublin. Thank you for a wonderful stay 😊

Great location and friendly staff....

Liked: Close to city centre, friendly staff.
Disliked: Noisy - at the back of the hotel with the night club; bathroom needed some tlc (paint peeling in ceiling); food options for gluten free were non existent; breakfast wait was long and had to go elsewhere. Not value for money.

Liked: Wynn's is a historic hotel, just off the main street in Dublin. It has Victorian glass, lots of oak panelling and an old-fashioned but comfortable feel.
Disliked: All Dublin hotels tend to be expensive - and Wynn's is no exception.
