Sandra, Lu, visiting Acrisure Stadium Sun, 5 November 2023

Overall it was good. Staff was great and very helpful. Restaurant staff was very friendly. Wish there was access to drinks and snacks via vending machine after hours. If you're attending any football game or baseball ball game this hotel is walking distance which was awesome.

Liked: Staff overall were great. Very friendly and helpful.
Disliked: Disappointed that our room furniture had damage in the wood from past visitors. Definitely wished there was a vending machine or two to get a drink or snack from after hours.

Disappointing - 2.0 out of 5

Frank, West Falls, visiting Roxian Theatre Sat, 19 March 2022

I opted for the room upgrade, which was presented at $26 but ended up costing $31. When checking in, the front desk was confused about what the upgrade would be. Then we arrived in the room, it was not an upgraded "deluxe king view". After heading into the city for dinner, we returned to the room and it was 75* and very stuffy. I called and was told an engineer would come to fix it - we waited over an hour and no one came. Hours later we came back after the show, and it was still 70*+, and it was a miserable temperature for sleeping. Then there was the bed, which was the smallest king I've ever seen. The box spring was two twin bed box springs pushed together, and the mattress bowed into the center badly. I would avoid this hotel.

Liked: It was in the city.
Disliked: The room and broken HVAC.

ConcertHotels.com gave me the cheapest rate among many sites, including trying to book direct; cheap cab ride to the Rex.

Liked: Great location.

Great location; problems with parking and valet. The rooms were small and cramped; overpriced for the quality of the accommodation.

Liked: Good location.
Disliked: Terrible parking arrangement and overpriced for the small size of our room.

Looking for somewhere to just...

Liked: Cheaper than most places around. The staff were very kind & helpful. The lobby itself is nice.
Disliked: “Valet parking” here is definitely a joke. No vending machines. Our room was dirty. The water for the shower was ice cold. Wasn’t what we expected for still paying $250 for one night.

Worst hotel experience imaginable.

Liked: The staff were generally friendly. The valet was overwhelmed but worked incredibly hard to accommodate us. The manager Jason was initially snippy with me, telling me that the Wyndham Grand Pittsburg website I'd been looking at wasn't EXACTLY the right site, which was simply ludicrous. Then he came around and made an effort to make things better. It's not completely his fault that the hotel is such a mess.
Disliked: A roadside motel would've been better than this "upscale" center-city hotel. We specifically chose a hotel with room service because I was going to have to eat in the room while working. Called for room service and was told they hadn't had it for 5 years even though room service was listed on every website including Wyndham's. The room was just over 200 sq ft and the ad said it was 300 sq ft - so it was absolutely tiny. In addition to being the size of a postage stamp, the room, which was supposed to have a river view, did not. Well, if you stood at the window and looked to the left, you could see the river - again, terribly misleading. And speaking of misleading, DO NOT believe the photos of the King rooms you see on the website - there was no part of any of those photos that bore even a remote resemblance to the room we were in. The room was also NOT clean. It was dingy, fingerprints everywhere, and in great need of an update - new furniture, carpeting, carpentry (chipped moldings everywhere). It's also my suspicion that there were bedbugs or some other insect because I came home with bites all over my ankles and back. There was not a single piece of information in the room about TV, amenities, internet etc. The phone had no working "buttons" and we were told "oh, yeah, none of the buttons work anymore; you have to call the operator. Quite frankly, I cannot believe that a chain like Wyndham that bills itself as luxury could continue to market this particular hotel as high end and to charge the fees it charges: $225.00 per night (off season and no Steelers game that weekend), $50+ to park, extremely expensive breakfast buffet $19.00 per person etc. etc. We travel constantly both in the US and abroad and have had stays in basic hotels that were clean and easy to navigate and offered free parking and - in Italy - always at least a continental breakfast.
