Liked: The friendly customer service that we received prior to coming to the hotel and during the check-in experience. After that, it was all downhill from there
Disliked: The rooms were dirty and dusty. There was some disgustingly sticky substance on the back of the desk chair and the carpet had some questionable staining. The breakfast was practically inedible, and that includes the watery powdered scrambled eggs. The fact that you couldn't even take your breakfast up to your room, despite the fact that you could get food delivered and eat in your room, was both illogical and inconvenient.Strangely there was no lifeguard available at the pool was a definite liability made clear by the visiting group of teenaged dance troupe performers who monopolized the pool all the way up to the closing time of 9:00 p.m. . They were extremely loud and behaving dangerously in the pool. And then after the 9:00 p.m. closing time, they were running up and down the hallways making an incredible amount of noise without any proper supervision. It didn't seem like the hotel had any security staff to put an end to this type of behavior.Oh, and that god-awful smell that permeated the rooms obviously came from the pool area! So not only did we get inundated by the incredible amount of noise coming from there, but there was no escaping that smell. The room should be soundproofed as much as possible as well as deodorized effectively in order to make staying there comfortable and enjoyable. Especially for that price.Finally, I requested a handicap/disability room and didn't receive it. It was dangerously difficult getting in and out of the shower and the toilet was extremely low. And for anyone who suffers from arthritis, knee pain, and mobility issues, this is an extremely disappointing and painful experience.

Heat the pool area!

Liked: Room was clean, bed was comfortable. Breakfast was very good.
Disliked: Pool area was very cold. Only two towels in the room.

Liked: The included breakfast was standard hot and cold foods. The staff were friendly and helpful. The lobby was beautifully decorated for the holidays. The room's heating system worked well and we loved how roomy the space was.
Disliked: The property is older and dated looking. Chipped plaster on walls, worn furniture and sloppy painting in the rooms was noted. The lobby area and the indoor "garden" area around the pool was kept very cold. We did have problems getting enough hot water for showering, but with time, it did improve.

Disliked: Hard time adjusting the shower water either ice cold or scalding, figured it out but needs to be easier. Would like handicap access room to have king bed or 2 queens

Liked: the restaurant/pub was excellent with friendly staff and good food plenty of towels coffee unit supplied with real creamers very comfortable bedding and pillows excellent location - close to the fairgrounds lots of parking
Disliked: noisy heating system long hallways don't book if you have trouble walking staff could have been friendlier no ice cream in the vending area TV did lose reception once but rebooted lousy TV station selections If you want to watch a movie, be prepared to pay for it or use your laptop/phone
