We attended an event at The Bowery and stayed here at the Wyndham Garden. It was nice and close. The hotel staff were very helpful. Great hotel. I would stay here again.

Central and relaxing hotel stay

Liked: The room was very clean and comfy with amazing city views (I was on the 12th floor). Everything you'd need was in the room; hairdryer, toiletries, water, iron and a coffee machine. The reception staff were very helpful when I asked for directions and recommendations. The cleaning staff were also very friendly in the morning when we spoke on the way out. I found it a relaxing hotel to stay in whilst being in such a central location in easy reach of all the sights.
Disliked: Breakfast was good, however I thought the hot food offering for an American breakfast was a little limited; no bacon, only scrambled eggs. Also I think it would have been good to have an option for proper plates and cups rather than just paper/plastic one (seems rather unsustainable for the environment as well to only have throwaway plates and cups!) The cold food offering was good.

Liked: very good room with roomy beds and nice bathroom. good but basic breakfast buffet. room was exquisitely cleaned by the housekeeping staff each morning. the location is good, on the edge of Chinatown, with 3 different subway stations nearby.
Disliked: the staff member who checked us in really could not understand that we had already paid all our booking fees via booking.com and kept trying to add charges. eventually understood. the deposit for the room is 50 dollars per night but we were told at the desk and on the policies sent to us that it was 50 dollars for the whole stay. we got the deposit back but it was disconcerting when we saw such a large charge on a bank account without explanation.
