Location is good for many popular Boston destinations. In our case, City Winery for a show. Parking fee is $50/day which I noticed in passing several parking garages is about the going rate. Room was nice and warm, very comfortable. For some reason, the TV was unplugged!? In room coffee/tea available but only one of each variety. What if you have two people, like us, and they both want Earl Grey without having to wait for? When investigating places to stay, through ConcertHotels, the page that described this hotel did not specify that the pool was outdoors. Also, page said pet friendly. Almost brought him. Book in room said "Only service animals allowed. $100/day fee otherwise". Not exactly pet friendly. Didn't use restaurant or bar as all reviews I read mentioned the high price. Overall, I give it a 3 for poor communication through websites about amenities and their pet policy.
Liked: Convenient to where we were going.
Disliked: No indoor pool.

Great location, especially for price
Liked: Can't beat this terrific location for the price. Right across the street from beautiful Beacon Hill neighborhood, with Cheers and Public Garden 10 minutes on other side. 15 minutes walk from the North End. If you run, less than half a mile to bridge to Charles River path. Loved the pub down the street, plus many other restaurants nearby, and next to Whole Foods. 3 short blocks to T station. Nice weight room with lots of weights.
Disliked: Parking was advertised for $69 per day, if you really want to have a car in downtown Boston.

This is a dated hotel...
Liked: Location was good near Beacon Hill.
Disliked: This is a dated hotel and there was constant noise at night due to the dated rooms along with construction next to the hotel. On top of that, they charged $60 for a late checkout as they were unwilling to accommodate marathon runners who needed facilities after the race. Avoid this hotel because it’s not worth it and if you’re in town for the marathon, most other hotels will happily accommodate runners. Just not this one.

Very good
Liked: The hotel is in a good location with restaurants and access to the T.
Disliked: We were initially put in a room on the 14th floor and the beds were visibly sunken in and you could feel the springs. Also, they were hosting an event the 15th floor with really loud music that was supposed to go on until midnight. We asked to change rooms, and hotel staff was great and moved us to a lower floor.
