Location is good for many popular Boston destinations. In our case, City Winery for a show. Parking fee is $50/day which I noticed in passing several parking garages is about the going rate. Room was nice and warm, very comfortable. For some reason, the TV was unplugged!? In room coffee/tea available but only one of each variety. What if you have two people, like us, and they both want Earl Grey without having to wait for? When investigating places to stay, through ConcertHotels, the page that described this hotel did not specify that the pool was outdoors. Also, page said pet friendly. Almost brought him. Book in room said "Only service animals allowed. $100/day fee otherwise". Not exactly pet friendly. Didn't use restaurant or bar as all reviews I read mentioned the high price. Overall, I give it a 3 for poor communication through websites about amenities and their pet policy.
Liked: Convenient to where we were going.
Disliked: No indoor pool.

Tired old hotel in a...
Liked: The location couldn’t be better. On the edge of Beacon Hill, walkable to everywhere! The staff are WONDERFUL! So accommodating, helpful, engaging with the kids. It’s not their fault that the building itself is so tired.
Disliked: The property is tired, very tired. From the moment you arrive there is a sense that the place hasn’t been loved in many many years. The fabric of the building is so battered and overused that no amount of cleaning can remove it. The automatic door to even get in struggles to open, the lobby is depressing, broken ceiling tiles, paper peeling off the walls. It was expensive and yet there were zero frills. The hallways are a bit stinky, the lift is dirty, the luggage trollies are falling apart, the room has lots of stains, the linen is a bit grey, the ice machines don’t work … you name it - it’s just a bit sad. Room not cleaned until after 3pm each day which felt too late.

Boston,,, we'll be back!
Liked: the location was perfect for what we needed, close to public transportation, restaurants and historical sites as well as a convenient restaurant on site for breakfast .Which by the way, was very good and the service people were very accommodating to my request of no carbs and tomatoes instead. The BEST PART OF OUR STAY WAS,, THAT forgot my wallet in the room and two hours later, when I was about to board my train back home , I realized I did not have it with me.I called the reception immediately and while I was on the cab, they called me back saying that they had it and were keeping it safe.NEEDLESS TO SAY,,, that was a gift!!!! THANK YOU... THANK YOU.
Disliked: There was no pool...

Overall a very food experience,...
Liked: The location is awesome, close to a couple of subway stations that allows you to connect to pretty much everywhere in the city and also a walking distance from Quincy Market, TD garden and downtown
Disliked: One should be aware that there’s an ongoing construction on MGH so the nearby environment can get pretty noise at times

Nice located and that’s about...
Liked: Location was good, that is all that is nice about this hotel.
Disliked: The mattresses were very uncomfortable and they are more than 20 years old. My back was hurting all day. The rooms are outdated and there is no real door between sleeping area in the bathroom, so anything you do in the bathroom everyone can hear. Toilet flash is very loud, it will wake up an elephant.Plus to park your car you have to pay $60 a day.
