A lovely night away, rich...

Liked: Fantastic location, unique property full of history
Disliked: Check in wasn’t ideal, standing in the middle of a busy restaurant area waiting for the manager to be located. Parking is a bit chaotic, no allocated bays. Basically park where you can and if you’re blocking someone in leave your car key at reception.

A great location for the...

Liked: Everything from arrival - the general atmosphere and friendly staff - even though they were extremely busy they were still very helpful.
Disliked: We had the garden suite and I had asked for the sofa bed to be made up as I was staying with a colleague - I took a quilt from the chest of drawers but had no bed linen.

At best very poor!

Liked: Not a lot. A very expensive visit! The price paid for our B & B two nights we could have had a mini cruise offer far more!
Disliked: 4 poster bed creaked at every movement. .Noise from bar below until around 11:20 was excessive Booked a ‘Suite’ room but no such was provided - Bed that cracked at every move. No separate sitting area which a ‘suite’ should offer. Glass partly see through panelled doors dividing en-suite bathroom from main bedroom. We left after just one night! We had hoped to be able to sit in the bar and have a nice evening drink, but pub was heaving with shoulder to shoulder drinkers and no where to sit or even stand! Could not book a table for night 2 evening meal, so we left very disappointed after one nights stay!
