Our preferred hotel for Wigan...

Liked: We're annual visitors to Wigan, and normally stay at this hotel. No problems, lovely hotel, and this time used the swimming pool whiich was very nice. Also the breakfast service has improved since last visit. Overall a bit expensive for location but all hotels seem to be getting expensive.

Lovely little getaway.

Liked: Hotel was very nice, well staffed and had amazing facilities. Spa and swimming is perfect for family trips. Pricing was great. Room service was very good, food was excellent. The room was huge! very well organised and lots of space for little ones to run round.
Disliked: The little details are missed, cleaning under toilet seat, carpet stains, and wall protector missing. Having a fridge would be an excellent addition to the room, and a bigger TV. But overall 9/10 stay for us. Would come back!

Disappointing

Liked: The food was lovely, a bit pricey but definitely value for money. The pool was lovely and clean and the same can be said for the gym
Disliked: The general cleanliness of the rooms wasn't the best. For the money it costs for one night you would expect much better. The walls are like paper and it was hard to sleep with other people shouting until gone midnight and then at stupid o'clock in the morning. The hotel advertises sky sports in all rooms however our rooms didn't have a signal and when we asked about this we were told sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't.

Liked: Decor of the room overall was nice & public areas very good.
Disliked: One tea bag & one packet of biscuits on the tea tray between two of us. The rubber on the shower screen & sealant round the bath were grubby. The bed appeared hastily made with the bottom sheet not even tucked in. Furniture in the room was chipped & a bit shabby. The size of the room was great and would easily take a bigger bed than a double. The bed was a bit soft but the pillows were rock hard.

Disliked: There was no hot water for the entire stay. Felt very run down

Shocking experience you don’t expect...

Disliked: We had no water supply at all so was not able to use toilet in the room, shower, wash etc
