Friendly staff - welcoming hotel...

Liked: The friendly staff, and quirky decor made for a memorable stay. The hotel was clean, the bed comfortable and the food was good. It was a great place for families with young children, but there were quiet, comfortable lounges to relax in too.
Disliked: The decor was a bit tired.

Liked: Perfect for my granddaughter even in the rain
Disliked: Indoor pool tile very slippery on stairs. I lost my footing & tripped. Consider roughing up the stairs for traction & make the whole facility more amenable to those w/ mobility issues

Good fun for grandparents with...

Liked: Fine hotel with good public space and comfortable sofas, quiet rooms, excellent choice and quality of food, clever division of dining area between areas for those with and without young children, lovely pool and spa, private car parking, friendly staff generally very good and understanding with lively young noisy children.
Disliked: Double beds are on the small side, meal times can be noisy (but it is a family hotel...)

Family friendly but in need...

Liked: Welcoming to babies and dogs.
Disliked: Very slow service in restaurant food under or overcooked. Furnishings extremely tired. Horrid plastic notices everywhere telling guests what to do or not to do. Garden looked as if it needed tending. Not what it was sadly. Room baking, discovered heating on.

The whole place was great...

Liked: The Brreakfast and location were great but our last day the staff couldnt cope with the amount of customers so had a long wait to be served.
Disliked: More kitchen staff so the turn round was better

Liked: Excellent breakfast, top quality.
Disliked: Dinner was average. I believe they changed the menu the next day to include additional and varied items

Atmospheric building and great outdoor...

Liked: Grand looking building with spacious outdoor areas including an outdoor swimming pool. Lounge areas were cosy and nice to have a cup of tea and read a book.
Disliked: Our first room ‘the cosy’ was cosy and atmospheric but spoilt by noise from the kitchen fan outside, also there were lots of cobwebs on the inside of the windows which were also very difficult to close. We asked to move and we were put into what could only be described as a step up from a cell, it was incredibly small, depressing, and nowhere near the money being asked for it, the wardrobe was located in the bathroom due to space restrictions. Thankfully we ended up in a room which was very satisfying and we were grateful for the staff for moving us there.
