Good room, staff friendly and...

Liked: My room Room 1 in the Cottage, was very good, it had recently been refurbished I think. Good size. comfortable bed.
Disliked: The food. Very limited menu - very little healthy food. I had the vegan Shephers Pie (I'm not vegan) but it was 75% potato topping and 25% limited content veg.The venue had a big group in at the time we stayed,so dinner was in a conservatory away from the main dining room. It was very very cold and we had to ask for two heaters to make it bearable. It was a good location because we were visiting someone nearby, eating in the dining room here was convenient, but I wouldn't eat there again unless I had to.Buffet breakfast, limited choice.

Liked: this is a lovely hotelI travel for work and always have a great staythe individually cooked breakfast with great selection is first classbedrooms are tastefully decoratedI like the large bathrooms with baththe beds are very very comfortable which aids a great nights sleep
Disliked: there is large selection of fruit for breakfast but a food salad with exotic fruits would be amazingthere is nothing that I did not like

Liked: Very modern, clean and inviting.
Disliked: Unfortunately, when we booked we was told about a slight noise disturbance - not a DJ set booming throughout the hotel being able to feel it through the floor. Prior warning that it was a wedding we would have changed the date.

Liked: Comfortable bed. Nice view of the garden.Attentive staff.
Disliked: Very early check out 10am, especially for a Sunday. Also maybe they could lift the furniture when rearranging the dining room. The scraping noise was pretty intrusive.The room was also too hot for us.
