A real local retreat, didn't...

Liked: This was my 3rd visit as the lodges are such a good retreat with woodland and golfing views. Excellently placed. A lot more spacious than look on photos. Very large kitchen with everything provided for cooking if desired. Great having a bath. Location on the common fantastic for walks. Can even walk to the cliffs if you're a seasoned walker!
Disliked: Although there are 4 bedrooms for 8 people, I wouldn't like to go with more than one other couple or my own kids as it would fill the lovely lounge and L shaped sofa but price would work out very good value. A log burner or electric fake fireplace would perfect it although warms up very quickly.

Wonderful

Liked: Beautifully appointed, the staff were all in n result helpful and friendly. The rooms were comfortable. The spa was excellent. The Pulse Bar & Cafe offered excellent meals, their coffee was delicious. I really couldn’t fault a thing
Disliked: Nothing

Disappointing, for above reasons.

Liked: Breakfast very average for cost. And seemed to stop much earlier than the 10am limit.
Disliked: Room needs a bit of tlc.Staff lacked training.Room was being cleaned, before we had moved out.Couldn't book any treatments, as they all seemed to be full, which was one reason for staying at a spa hotel.

Nice facilities, not so great...

Liked: The facilities in the spa area and health club were very good. The room we had was spacious and comfortable and had a balcony facing out to the car park, but with nice views out to the surrounding countryside.
Disliked: The eating area was quite characterless and little atmosphere. The food was not of a high quality, especially the breakfast items. Buffet style, help yourself from containers that did not keep the food warm enough. Eating options on the Sunday night were limited and confusing advice from the staff meant we didn't eat at all on that night.
