Disappointing
Disliked: No towels in the room, dirty washcloth in the shower, tiny tiny tiny pillows, soap all over bottles in the shower, dirty shower curtain. Asked for a room clean- was told they don’t have any housekeepers. Had to ask for new towels twice.

Great location and great value.
Liked: Location, Cost/ Value, Friendly Staff
Disliked: The bed needs to be replaced in the ADA king room we had. And the bathroom needs more floor towels because it’s a danger (lol ask me how I know). The fridge only partly worked so we had to throw away food. Besides that, the room was big and we enjoyed our stay.

Liked: The room and bed were very comfortable. Everything was rather clean and there were zero noise complaints. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, as far as recommendations for activities in the area. Will definitely be returning.
Disliked: I have zero complaints.

I would return again because...
Liked: The room size and layout. A comfortable bed and a separate living space with a small kitchenette, table, desk and couch. Location is close to downtown Southport although most people would still need transportation to downtown and taxi service is not easy to come by. The front desk service the following day was lightyears better than the service when we checked in.
Disliked: Service - The front desk person who checked us in was not helpful when we asked about places that would be open for dinner (there was a storm the night before). Turns out there was a delightful italian restaurant across the parking lot, about a 20 second walk (Bambinos - great food), she could have at least pointed us to. The next morning the front desk person provided a completely different experience, and when she heard us wondering if places would open for lunch, she brought us a list of all the nearby restaurants with phone numbers to call them. That would have made a huge difference the night before. The standing lamp didn't work (check lightbulbs), there was only one tissue in the tissue box, and only two towels. Horrible water pressure. Cabinets in bathroom were worn. The hotel itself could use a refresh. Lack of healthy breakfast options. Precooked egg and sausage rounds wrapped in plastic for microwave heating, boxed cereals, and a waffle machine. The only fruit was a bowl or tasteless oranges.
