Liked: the breakfast is not worth staying at this hotel for.
Disliked: my room had a weird smell and a flickering light so I changed rooms, which was ok but on the lower floor it was noisy outside. Not a nice location at all.

Disliked: A/C runs like a garbage truck, noisy enough to wake you up every 10 minutes. So you have to turn it off.then, get ready for uncomfortable sleep, which is the whole purpose of this hotel

Great hotel in a not-so-great...

Liked: The hotel is well furnished, clean, and conveniently located close to a subway which is very close to the middle of Manhattan and runs 24hrs a day. Staff were helpful and friendly. My room was warm, comfy, and had all amenities I'd hope for.
Disliked: There's an issue with the deposit - first they couldn't take it and threatened to cancel the reservation, even though it was secured through booking.com, then they say they can't refund it to my card. Sure, the immediate vicinity of the hotel is a poorer neighbourhood, and the breakfast is crazy crowded; but you won't get a room in a hotel this nice so close to Manhattan at the price, and this is the trade-off. It wouldn't stop me staying again.
