Hotel Description
Seventeen acres of beautiful formal gardens and parkland surround this grand Victorian hotel. Fresh produce grown on Willington Hall Hotel's grounds is used in the restaurant's modern British dishes. Antique furnishings are in each individually designed room. Afternoon tea can be taken on the terrace or in the elegant drawing room. The homemade pie of the week is a popular choice in the bar and snacks and drinks are available throughout the day. A sunny day out in the Cheshire countryside can be complimented by one of Willington's picnic hampers. Egyptian cotton linen covers each bed and guests can relax in front of the flat-screen TV. Most rooms have lovely views across the surrounding parkland and countryside. Free private parking is available and Delamere Rail Station is a 10-minute taxi journey away. Bike rides can be enjoyed through the woodland and around the lakes in Delamere Forest which is also just a 10-minute drive away.

Wow a lovely little gem

Liked: This property is a little gem, full of character and history with amazing views that displayed the recent snowfall and ice, this was magical to see. There is the expected age related characteristics that come with this type of building which we feel is quite charming, so ignore other reviews about the trivial. All we can say is WOW, we opted for the dinner bed and breakfast option. The food is amazing, dinner was lovely, we chose starters of whitebait and prawn cocktail, we had mains of duck breast and homemade steak and ale pie, and dessert, cheese board and crème brûlée with a nice bottle of white wine. The taste of the food reflects excellent good quality and high standard. Best chunky chips in the area
Disliked: Nothing

Great location and staff- breakfast...

Liked: Beautiful location with wonderful views from the room. Staff were lovely / very welcoming and helpful
Disliked: We purchased half board but the options were very limited. The food was not particularly good quality. The breakfast had very limited options and the portions were small. It felt like the owners were trying to do things on a shoestring .

Would stay again and good...

Liked: Nicely decorated
Disliked: Windows needed a good clean and secondary glazing fitting to prevent droughts. Their heating bill must be ginormous!

Nice romantic getaway.

Liked: Staff lovely and a nice place to stay. Very elegant setting.. would stay again.
Disliked: On breakfast and dinner rate. Gave an allowance towards each meal, without being extravagant was an extra 40 pounds for 2 over 2 nights, if you went to steaks etc this could easily have trippled. either a set menu choices or a bigger allowance would work better as didnt feel we actually got a breakfast and dinner board rate... drinks on the expensive side as well.
