Liked: I was in Des Moines to attend a funeral. Wildwood Lodge was comforting from the moment I entered. The “Minnesota Northwoods” decor was an immediate relaxing environment for me and the staff was very friendly. My room was large, clean, comfortable, and inviting with the low-light and comfy chair in the corner and the continuation of the Northwoods decor. I also enjoyed the step-in shower. The all inclusive breakfast was totally adequate and provided a variety from cereal, oatmeal, bagels, waffles to eggs , gravy and biscuits etc. I greatly appreciated that check-out was not until noon!

Liked: The staff did above and beyond communicating with us, and they made my partners birthday extra special for her, we will be going back here again in the future for sure!
Disliked: The hot tub was down when we first got there, but was fixed by the next day, and they called us before we checked in to let us know that would be the case so it wasn't even a bad thing.

Great Lil weekend staycation

Liked: Loved how the rooms had walk out access to the pool.
Disliked: I do wish that the poolside rooms had reserved tables just specifically for each room.

Liked: I did like the cabin feel inside, however they said they were pet friendly, but they charge $50 per dog, (we had 2 small trained dogs) , plus $100 for possibly damage in room, that $200 extra dollars!
