We will never book again

Liked: It was a nice and vcharming place with good breakfast and a nice garden.
Disliked: The boss was very unpolite. Her words were offensive. We agreed with her staff at the reception to pay a price of 150 $ for another night and that we should pay in the evening. She canceled the online booking and raise the price to 165 $ in additional to that she raice her voice, shouting at us, we don’ t feel like human… and we stayed there a couple of days which were all paid. I can’t recommend that place to make holidays, instead of argueing with a unsatisfied boss

Liked: Close to local attractions in Hilo. Good fresh baked banana bread both mornings. Quaint 1911 era property

Disliked: The place is a bit run down. Noisy due to cars and frogs.

Nightmare at the Wild Ginger...

Liked: Close to Hilo town.
Disliked: We did not stay there. The rooms were unsanitary, no blankets. Room 1026 had a coqui frog on the bed. Room 1024 dirty. Bed slept in.. Lights did not work. Room 1029 had a stain on the bedsheet, no bed cover or blankets. I was horrified at the conditions. Pictures online were a falsification of the real thing. I turned in the keys and left a message for management requesting a refund. No front desk or night manager on site. I called on 12/29 _ Waiting for a response from management re refund. Worst experience ever. Notified Booking.com.

Liked: Breakfast was really great. Good food, lots of variety and home baked banana bread.
Disliked: Perhaps a bit more protein.
