Warm and Dry

Liked: We were very warm and dry during a very wet day. The cabin looked newly renovated. It was all fresh and clean. It was a short drive to the pub for lunch and we spent the day playing cards.Was very surprised at no stove but the kitchen was well stocked and managed cooking with the microwave.
Disliked: This is not a complaint but we could have used a couple of water glasses. The wine and beer glasses were adaquate.

Affordable basic clean rooms …...

Liked: We were in the hotel/ lodge rooms ..Pretty good value for what we paid . Was good accommodation overall . The hot tub and sauna are are a really nice feature after a day of hiking . Mattresses could be a little more comfortable but still got an ok sleep probably acceptable for most people. Huge carpenter ants were present in both rooms we rented they need to get that issue dealt with . Not lots of choice in port Renfrew in the shoulder season .

Liked: I liked Renfrew Pub. I had a lovely meal there, and the staff were very welcoming. I enjoyed visiting Botanical Beach and Bay, and walking through the forest to get there.
Disliked: I felt scared at night on my own, being in the cottage next to the trees, with no curtains or blinds at the windows

Liked: Lovely accommodation and easy check in process. Beautiful room. Great location - easy walk to pub and cafe. Highly recommended.

The cutest little cottage where...

Liked: Location was really nice - on the main road but the sitka cottage we stayed in was tucked behind a wall and felt like it was in the middle of the rain forest. We could still walk to the pub in 5 minutes. The propane fire pit on the deck was super nice.
Disliked: Both hot tubs we drained even though I made sure to ask about them before the cancellation date, as they were one of the main draws. The WiFi in the room did not work which means the TV did not work. The kitchen has no stove, oven or even a cooktop - only a microwave.
