Lovely location, great breakfasts

Liked: Lovely location! Very idyllic and calm. Birds all around you which is lovely. Close to a village so you have options for food.Staff were absolutely lovely and the room was spacious. Nicely decorated with a big wardrobe and big mirror. Large radiator so the room was lovely and warm. The bathroom was nice too, modern, spacious shower and nice soap set. Breakfasts were very well cooked, tasted lush and set you up for the day. The preorder system works really well.
Disliked: The bedside lamp would flick brighter and dimmer subtly but noticeably. The room could be cleaner, there was dust and cobwebs above the bed. The TV is very far away and small, we had trouble reading the subtitles. Bathroom towels were definitely not soft, they were scratchy. The mattress could do with an upgrade or a topper, it's very firm which others may like.

Lovely place but won't be...

Liked: The property was lovely and we have stayed before when visiting family.
Disliked: We were given an order sheet to book breakfast with hourly time slots, my daughter and I chose 9am however, 20 mins in we were asked if we wanted anything else, when we said no thanks we were told that someone else was waiting for our table. We felt obliged to leave although we still had tea in the pot and was enjoying our catching up. I would suggest that they replace the 3x4 seated tables with 2 seat tables instead which would be easily adapted to guest ratios. Sadly I will book elsewhere for my next visit.

The hotel (and staff) could...

Liked: The breakfast was excellent.
Disliked: Nothing. I stayed with my daughter, hence the request for an extra bed but the fact that there wasn’t one was not a problem.
