Liked: The decor was excellent. The staff were friendly especially Sandra. Food was fantastic. There were treats everyday of freshly made cakes and we had some port each day, as well as the usual tea, coffee etc and for the connoisseur a coffee machine
Disliked: Can't think of anything

Liked: Hospitality & food amazing. Nice little touches of cold water, fresh milk, fruit & daily cake & sherry was lovely.
Disliked: Pub gorgeous, room beautiful but smelt damp & certain things like window sills hadn't seen a duster in a long time.

Lovely, comfortable location - just...

Liked: Perfect location for exploring the North East. Super touches like the cakes, sloe gin, nespresso machine and fresh milk. Breakfast and evening meal were both delicious and the staff attentive and friendly.
Disliked: The room and bathroom needed a thorough clean and dust and the hoover used in corners and skirting boards. The ironing board provided needs a new cover as it was badly stained.

Liked: Excellent location. No road noise what so ever.The room was lovely and warm. The free standing bath was marvellous with loads of red hot water, and the bedroom was very spacious with complimentary cake and a fabulous range of breakfast choice and a wide range of starters and mains on the evening menu

Why We Came Back.

Liked: The Northumberland location. The friendly welcome on arrival and obliging staff at meal times. The food, both quality and choice (evening and breakfast). The size of the bedrooms and en suite. The welcoming treats in the room each day. The availability of refrigerated fresh milk to take to the room for hot drinks. The space in the dining room. The quiet location.
Disliked: Nothing at all.

Quiet rooms and exceptional food!

Liked: Lovely comfortable room with brewing facilities. Large bathroom cake and whiskey in the room which was a lovely extra. Restaurant downstairs was excellent. The food was top quality. Good breakfast too. Value for money too.
Disliked: Far out in little village. However great for a nights stay!

Perfect escape. Comfortable, bright, secluded...

Liked: The Lodge was spacious and comfortable for the 2 of us. Great privacy, and view across the countryside. The hot tub was perfect. Not overlooked and a wonderful addition to the experience of the place. The location was a great place to explore the local area from. The White Swan pub/ hotel/restaurant is warm and welcoming. Great food, fire, just what we needed. Overall, really good value for money.
