Disappointing

Liked: The location is convenient. However, there are many other hotels in the same area that offer much better quality for the same or even lower price.
Disliked: Very disappointing experience at the White Sands Hotel. The reality of the hotel is far from what the photos online show. The rooms and facilities are old, worn out, and not properly maintained. Our room was not clean — dusty surfaces, musty smell, and overall poor hygiene.The staff were friendly, which we appreciated, but unfortunately that couldn’t make up for the state of the property. For the price they charge, you expect at least basic cleanliness and comfort. It feels more like a cheap guesthouse than a hotel.We ended up cancelling the rest of our stay after the first night, as they allowed us to do so without charging for the unused nights. That should tell you enough.We wouldn’t stay here again or recommend it.

Liked: The mid-century style of the Hotel perfectly accented with contemporary touches that didn't sacrifice the original bones of the property. The rooms were a good size for two people. Robes and towels were cush.
Disliked: The fan in the bathroom was deafening. Room could have had one more lamp and a few more loungers by the pool would be welcomed.

Very unpleasant experience

Liked: It has a nice vibe a style- but that's about it. You will be disappointed in the rest.
Disliked: Stuff. Specially at the bar- seems like they don't understand meaning of hospitality and customer service. Just stay away from the bar and their rude behavior. We wife very disappointed in our stay at this hotel.

Can’t wait to come back!

Liked: Love everything about this place. The room is cute and cozy. It’s within walking or a bus ride to anything you’d want to go to in Honolulu. The free beach chair rental is a huge plus. The pool bar is so much fun at night! The hotel receptionist was super friendly and helpful.

Cool retro surf vibes, great...

Liked: Loved this hotel! Really cool 70's retro surf decor and vibes, great pool area, large and comfy room and really excellent value for money!
Disliked: The only thing I could fault is lack of a blanket or quilt. I had to turn off the air con as was too cold without, resorted to using towels and the robe as blankets
