Not a good value for...

Liked: The location is ideal, close to the beach
Disliked: The property wasn’t clean. There was hair all over the bathroom and toilet and the sink was not clean. The furniture was outdated and the sleeper sofa in the living room was in fact a daybed, which wasn’t described in the original listing. The unit had a full kitchen with a coffee maker, but did not supply any basics like coffee, salt, pepper etc.

Great place, super close to...

Liked: We stayed in this hotel a few weeks ago for a short little getaway from the cold. Overall I would say the place was great and we had no real issues.It is one block away from the boardwalk and the beach! So easy that we didn’t mind not staying on the beach. The hotel also gives towels and coolers for you to take to the beach. You also get a slip every day to bring to Mama Joy at the beach one block over who will set you up with chairs, umbrella and table for the day. She is awesome and really sweet. We really liked having this as apart of the hotel package.The room itself was an odd compact layout with a full kitchen, washer/dryer, big bathroom and Murphy bed. The full kitchen would be nice if you had an extended time here. The w/d was really nice to have! The bathroom had a big shower and came with amenities. Unfortunately our sink leaked but that didn’t disrupt our trip. The Murphy bed was the worst part. It was so uncomfortable! It bothered us every night. And they don’t have queen sheets so they took king sheets and tired knots in the corners to make it fit. The sheets came off the bed every night which was frustrating. Apparently all of the rooms are Murphy beds. The TV had a good amount of channels available and the AC worked really well. We were in the back of the hotel so the light that came through the windows was ok but it was only in one spot by the kitchen. The elevator worked fine. The staff was pleasant.The hotel is located right next to the main road into mid-beach and it is very busy. There is a CVS right next door and a bunch of restaurants, cafes along the street and the street behind. The bus and trolley travel along the street and there’s a stop one block away.The negative about this area is that it is in direct line of the flights coming into Miami airport. There are airplanes passing over you on the beach all day and night. Helicopters and small planes too. It was a lot to listen to at times.

Changed my expectations and questions...

Liked: Smaller and low key building, decent location
Disliked: Shocking that you have to ask if there is an actual bed in your hotel room. I’ve never ever seen a pull out sleeper sofa as the main bed in a hotel room, and for $300! Outrageous. The most uncomfortable noisy rattly thing I felt like I was sleeping in an RV. I complained and they moved me to a different room with an actual bed but made me pay another $40. Unbelievable.

Very spacious and extra clean...

Liked: The room was very spacious, like a small apartment with all amenities. It had a fully equiped kitchen if someone would like to cook and in general it was super clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location was great and very close to the hotel was a supermarket, a nice Italian restaurant and Miami Beach of course.
Disliked: it could be included breakfast in the daily rate (200$) of the room.

Liked: Location is great. 1 min walk to a beach. Room is spacious. Kitchen.
Disliked: It is not a 4-star hotel. Not even close. Max 3 stars (I mean by European Standards). The water pressure is tragic in the bathroom. It doesn't work properly.It isn't mentioned that a sofa (couch) is not for 2 people, it is 2 separated beds. One on the floor and second is higher. Very uncomfortable and it is really hard to sleep on. Very noisy AC. Maybe we could set it up ourselves, but we couldn't find the control panel.
