Liked: All the staff were excellent, and the hotel was clean, bright and welcoming.
Disliked: Nothing to dislike once we managed to turn the heating down in our room!

An old hotel which lacks...

Liked: The welcoming fire at reception and nice view from the room. The staff were very friendly.
Disliked: Attention to detail! - bathroom had numerous hairs etc which were missed even though housekeeping came in over the three days of our stay. The macerator was awful in our bathroom, had a mind of its own, noisy and went off at random. The ordinary switch behind the toilet worrying (?surely wrong should be outside room or different type with waterproof cover?).The skirting boards had not been painted, left bare wood. Dead flowers were in vases (even at reception) we passed dead flowers on the stairs throughout our stay. Breakfast - such a shame all the food went cold, nice choice on offer, but only in stainless steel containers which did not keep hot, do not understand this, other establishments eg Premier Inn have heat lamps etc which keep food hot, the grey hard scrambled egg on offer not inviting! - such a shame, advice stick to the cold offering. We have never seen rice on offer either, most unusual.

Liked: We, my son and I, had difficulties reaching Mull due to ferry cancellations.Staff were understanding and accommodating..
Disliked: In the dining room, heated breakfast trays taken away at exactly 9.30am.Breakfast was advertised to be served until 9.30am. So, long and difficult day previously, enjoyed a lie in and arrived for breakfast at 9.25am. Got breakfast, but couldn't go back for seconds!Not a major problem, just mentioning.
