Overpriced & outdated.

Liked: On a positive note The location was great for everything with parking, great for Clarkes village and the Glastonbury carnival. The place was clean and tidy and it was a nice touch to have a toilet separate from the bathroom as we stayed as a family. It was good to have a proper bed for our son, not just a futon. It was a great sized family room. The lady at check-in was very helpful.
Disliked: We stayed in room 203 - a family room. The lift was disconcerting as it rattled and shook throughout its travels, no matter if full or just one passenger. The fire alarm went off by accident in the middle of the night with apologies shouted in the corridor. The bed springs weren't comfortable on the bed. The window was patio-style with no safety catch preventing full opening, definitely a nightmare if you had a toddler as they could climb over low sill and climb out window 2 floors up!! The TV had blown tubes, so viewing was poor and the remote didn't work. But worse was the price for a 3 star AA it was £166 for just a room for the night (with no breakfast) which is a 4 star London-priced room or a 4 star boutique hotel price. We paid it, thinking it was going to be a high end 3 star and having stayed in much better hotels for less this is definitely not value for money. Realistic price would be £95-£110If you like a 2-star quirky, Fawlty towers type of experience at 4-star prices then this hotel is for you.

Great place,but issues.

Liked: Excellent location.plenty of car parking spaces. Free parking. Comfortable bed. Bedrooms are comfortable. Breakfast tasty.
Disliked: When we got there we found we could not eat in the restraunt as there was a function on. We could not even order some sandwiches or light bites to eat in the lounge area.Very poor for any hotel. Some of the fittings and decorations were tired. Our bedroom needed better lighting.
