historic hotel

Liked: an historic hotel in the city centre, close to the parliament building and the waterfront. it is an old building with an early 20th century style. The bathrooms are modern and clean. the bed, pillows and towels are clean and of good quality.
Disliked: it is an old building so if you are looking for a more modern hotel you can choose one of the many chain hotels in Wellington.

Excellent stay in this gorgeous...

Liked: Such a lovely feel to this former gentleman’s club - good old fashioned luxury at normal prices. Beautiful building, lovely friendly staff who could not have been more helpful. Really enjoyed staying here
Disliked: I would have liked to have my bed made up every day but that’s a small thing. Also there is no on-site breakfast available (although there is a lunchtime cafe). There are other options very nearby though.

Liked: Visiting from Canada for a few days and taking the Great Northern Train to Auckland.

Liked: The facilities in the room were exceptional which was large and roomy
Disliked: It would have been nice to see some staff but unfortunately our schedule meant we arrived late and left early the following morning.It was strange staying in place and not see another human being. We heard the lift so there were other guests but with no food or bar facilities we didn't cross paths.
