Decent hotel in central Waikiki

Liked: The hotel was located in central Waikiki, and made walking to Waikiki spots very easy. The room and hotel were nicely decorated and everything felt clean.
Disliked: Parking is outrageously expensive at $50, and a few times over our 2-day stay, the valet was full already. The free drinks can only be redeemed at the poolside bar (so even during a storm you have to sit there for the drinks), and only for a Pina colada or a beer. In general I would say do not stay in Waikiki at all, it's super touristy.

Liked: Great location for walking to shops/restaurants Very nice pool but coldThank goodness for the hot tubAdjoining Red Fish restaurant was excellent.
Disliked: The bed mattress was raised in the middle from so much wear on the one side . Needed a new one. Gave me back pain.One receptionist at front desk was very hard to understand. Nobody at front desk could tell me much about tourist info ie: trolley system. Need a better concierge.Street was very very noisy at night. Dont get a room street side. Get poolside.

Liked: Great Hotel. Well located. Good Value.Excellent Pool and restaurant/food. Best Poke bowls in Waikiki.The building is beautiful and well restored. Loved the vinyl album replica room/hotel brochure!Highly recommended if you want character and not an overpriced resort feel hotel.

Can’t wait to stay again...

Liked: I loved that it was right close to the main road with out being on it. I got beautiful views, a quiet and intimate lobby, restaurant, pool, bar, and staff… and was able to walk one block to where everything was going on. This also made it WAY easier to deal with parking and receiving my car daily as the valet area is not overwhelmed and staff was so quick and efficient. 
Disliked: Rooms can be a little noisy at times because of the hard floors - but I think all guests figure that out quickly and are respectful of eachother.
