Liked: Breakfast was cold.
Disliked: The increase in price after change of ownership.

Exceptional

Liked: Very large, comfortable rooms. Small patio but made it easy to get in and out.
Disliked: Needs a nightlight. Very dark room, which is a bonus, but hard to find way in middle of the night.

Not what I'd have expected...

Liked: Check-in was smooth and quick, staff were courteous.
Disliked: The room smelled bad, and the interior of the property was dark and showed its age. No other rooms were available. The staff did try to remedy things by spraying Febreze, but that worked only for a little while. (For unforeseen reasons, we didn't actually stay the second night, and the hotel was good enough to charge us only for a night, and knocked off $20 in hotel fees).

Beautiful Stay

Liked: The property was absolutely beautiful. Our room was beautiful overlooking the creek with the balcony… Our toddler loved it.
Disliked: Unfortunately, the staff was very unfriendly during our visit. The first night we came, there was a beautiful fire roaring and we loved it. The next day my husband requested that they started a fire again and they said they didn’t have enough wood, even though there was wood stacked up That was visible for us to see. They ended up bickering with my husband back-and-forth and really set a bad tone for him.

I’ve stayed 4-5 times here...

Liked: There are a lot of extras here, especially in the outdoor spaces!
Disliked: It’s a little dated in interior style; rooms with a heavier, dark wood, and some of the appliances.

First time staying in Bishop....

Liked: Breakfast buffet was very good. The staff was helpful and attentive.
Disliked: I didn’t like the marketing and continual emails to promote other properties.
